If you have past experiences that still bother you, are routinely irritable, depressed, or in conflict with others, need to learn to listen better or simply want more out of life, the Journey is a powerful time of learning and sharing. It’s putting into practice the processes of humility, confession, forgiveness, repentance, trust and compassion that Jesus taught. This is a challenging commitment with potentially powerful results.
The Journey is a 9-week curriculum with weekly meetings involving a large group teaching followed by a small group session helping you understand your personal story. This helps you identify, understand, and heal from wounds you’ve experienced. As you heal, you begin to live well in the present and have hope for the future. Groups are 2 hours a night divided into a 30 minute large group teaching time and 90 minute small group time. There is weekly homework.
The meetings are held at Center Point Church (2345 N. 10th Street, Kalamazoo) on Thursday evenings, 6:30-8:30, September 15th – November 10th. There is a $60 registration fee with scholarships available. Contact Mike Nelson (firstname.lastname@example.org, 269-569-2721) or Pastor Kyle Douglass (email@example.com, 269-365-2697).
Sessions are held generally every Fall and Spring. Please contact the church or Mike Nelson (info above) if you’re interested in an upcoming session. Or visit www.ohmin.org (Open Hearts Ministry) for additional options.
